Eric is the oldest child in the Chan Family. He will be 10 years old in March. Today, Mommy is feeling really proud and wants to tell you a story about Eric...

This is Eric when he was 3 years old. He loved to play with Daddy's cameras that were usually larger than his little hands...

Daddy caught another shot of Eric playing with his camera...
Then one day in 2003, when we were in Tulsa, Oklahoma, we saw this beautiful tree and thought it would be nice to have a family picture taken... Daddy didn't have his tripod with him. After a few shots of just Mommy and the boys, he handed Eric his camera and said,"Son, why don't you take a photo of us..."
This was what Eric produced... he just celebrated his 5th birthday that weekend. Notice that the little boy in the picture was little Bro, Norman. Elaine wasn't even born yet.
Daddy knew right away his boy would share his passion for photography with him. We knew that one day, Eric would make us proud...

Eric was bitten by the shutter bug... This was 7 year-old Eric playing studio shots.

Of course, little Bro and Sis were his perfect models!

That year, Eric decided to participate in Reflections. The theme was "Your Favorite Place". He picked The Cincinnati Zoo... so we went there.
Eric did not win anything for the Reflection contest. But he took this family picture that we will treasure forever.

Another of Eric's work... This time, he explored still life! He even posed the toys himself. We think he was such an artist!

Daddy became his model sometimes too. Eric especially loves taking Daddy's pictures when he is holding the camera himself. He must be making a statement...
